Overview

Splyt Streams ("the app") is a personal project that lets you watch multiple Twitch channels in one page. This policy explains what information the app uses and how it is handled.

Information we collect

The app does not run its own user accounts. You can use the grid without signing in. If you choose to log in with Twitch, that connection is optional.

• Browser storage:Your channel list, layout order, and display preferences are saved in your browser's localStorage on your device. This data stays on your device and is not sent to our servers.
• Twitch embeds:When you watch streams, Twitch's embedded player may collect and process information according to Twitch's Privacy Notice. That includes actions you take in the player, such as logging in, following a channel, or granting storage access.
• Twitch login (optional): If you log in, Twitch sends an authorization code to this app. Our server exchanges it for access and refresh tokens, then stores them in an httpOnly session cookie on your device so you can use chat, your followed-channels list, and clips. We receive your Twitch user ID, username, and display name from Twitch. We do not receive or store your Twitch password.

Information we do not collect

We do not intentionally collect your email, passwords, payment information, or a viewing history database on servers operated by this app. Chat messages and follow lists are fetched from Twitch when you use those features and are not stored long-term by this app beyond what your browser needs for the current session.

How we use information

Locally saved channel preferences are used only to restore your grid when you return to the app. If you are logged in with Twitch, your session is used only to power in-app chat, your followed-channels list, and clip creation through Twitch's API. We do not sell personal information.

Third-party services

Twitch is a third-party service. Your use of Twitch streams and features inside embeds is governed by Twitch's policies. This app is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Twitch.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13. Twitch's own age and account rules apply when using Twitch features.

Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
